It was also possible to submit a non-standard abstract. For example clinical cases, literature reviews and research proposals.

Registration
Abstract submitters should only register for the congress after the review outcome is known in order to register within the correct category of outcome (see table below).
All abstract submitters will be offered the early registration fee (regardless of the outcome).
Selected Early Career Scientists (who fit the ECS criteria) will receive free registration.

The outcome of the review will be sent by e-mail on 20 July 2021 and will include detailed information on how to register and for which fee. The early registration fee is applicable only if you register and pay within 15 days after receiving the review outcome. View registration fees here.
All poster presenters need to be registered for the congress to be able to present their work via a paper and/or an e-poster.

Review
Your abstract will be reviewed, if submitted according to the guidelines, in the period between 19 May and 19 July. Abstracts accepted for poster presentation will receive one of the following outcomes:

Special benefits for abstract submitters

ECNP Excellence AwardExcellence Award
Early Career Scientists (according to the criteria) and residents of an European Country with a Developing Economy (CDE)** are encouraged to submit an abstract for poster presentation. Excellent work might be rewarded with an ECNP Excellence Award.
**CDE-countries within Europe are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia-FYR, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.


Who can submit an abstract?
Abstracts can be submitted by professionals from across the world who are keen on discussing the latest developments in the science and treatment of brain disorders.

Submission by an Early Career Scientist (ECS)
The registration is free for ECS* presenting authors, residing in a country within Europe** if the abstract is accepted for publication in the digital congress supplement to the journal European Neuropsychopharmacology.
To be eligible for the free registration the abstract must be submitted by the presenting author (who fits the ECS criteria) and he/she has uploaded the proof of age document during the submission.
*Early Career Scientist
**Europe being the 47 countries of the Council of Europe plus Israel and Belarus.
