ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology

The ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology offers a select number of participants a week-long programme of intensive training in all aspects of neuropsychopharmacology: from its fundamentals to the use of medications in individual indications, good clinical practice and optimal treatment and algorithms.

The school will be held in Oxford, United Kingdom, on 30 June - 5 July 2019.

Participants are selected by the chair of the school, with two to three potential candidates per country, on the basis of their career potential. A maximum of 50 junior psychiatrists are accepted and their accommodation costs are covered by ECNP.

Application requirements
The school is intended for outstanding, 'up and coming’ young psychiatrists who aspire to lead the profession in their home country in the coming years.
Applicants with substantial research training may apply during their residency (preferable after at least 2 years of clinical practice).
Applicants who have completed residency should normally not have completed more than 6 years in full time practice.
The school is only for residents in Europe (Europe being the 47 countries of the Council of Europe plus Israel and Belarus).

Your application will be considered individually and on its merits. A personal statement to explain, in your own words, why you should attend, is mandatory.
Please note that it is not possible to participate in more than one school of ECNP.

Online application will open in October 2018. The deadline to apply is 1 March 2019.
During the application process, applicants are asked to upload the following:

  • Letter from the applicant’s institute confirming the application requirements are met by the applicant.

The ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology 2018 took place in Oxford, United Kingdom, from 24-29 June 2018. ECNP provided a unique opportunity to 49 participants to interact with an international faculty of experts in basic and clinical neuropsychopharmacology, over a span of one week.
