ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology
25-30 June 2017, Oxford, United Kingdom
The ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology offers a select number of participants a week-long programme of intensive training in all aspects of neuropsychopharmacology: from its fundamentals to the use of medications in individual indications, good clinical practice and optimal treatment and algorithms.
Participants are selected by the chair of the school, with two to three potential candidates per country, on basis of their career potential. A maximum of 50 junior psychiatrists will be accepted and their accommodation costs will be covered by ECNP.
The school is intended for outstanding, 'up and coming’ young psychiatrists who aspire to lead the profession in their home country in the coming years.
Applicants with substantial research training may apply during their residency (preferable after at least 2 years of clinical practice).
Applicants who have completed residency should normally not have completed more than 6 years in full time practice.
The school is only for residents in Europe (Europe being the 47 countries of the Council of Europe plus Israel and Belarus).
Your application will be considered individually and on it its merits. A personal statement to explain, in your own words, why you should attend, is mandatory.’
• It is not possible to participate in more than one school of ECNP.
• Selected participants are required to bring a poster to display their work during the poster session that will take place on 26 June 2017.
Ideally we are looking for psychiatrists who are able to spread the knowledge acquired during the school afterwards in their own country.
