Apply for ECNP Research Internship

For 2018 ECNP is supporting 15 research internships.

A selected group of senior researchers will offer junior scientists a short two-week exploratory experience in their institutions. The hosting scientist is encouraged to establish a long-term relationship with the applicant and teach a basic translational research method which the participant can use at home when he/she returns.

ECNP Workshop on Clinical Research Methods 2018

The next ECNP Workshop on Clinical Research Methods will take place on 7-9 November 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.

The workshop aims at introducing junior clinicians (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, etc.) to research methodology and to promote a critical approach to the scientific literature that is particularly relevant to clinical practice.

This is a unique opportunity for junior colleagues to become familiar with scientific methods. A number of international renowned researchers share their professional experiences with junior colleagues and psychiatry residents at the workshop.

The deadline for applications is 15 June 2018.

ECNP School logo

ECNP School 2018

The application deadline for the ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology is 1 March 2018.

The school will take place in 24-29 June 2018 in Oxford, United Kingdom.

What ECNP offers
Junior clinicians will be offered an interactive week with an international faculty of experts. This one-week residential course provides intensive training in all aspects of neuropsychopharmacology, from its fundamentals to the use of medications in individual indications, good clinical practice and optimal treatment and algorithms.

All expenses, except travel cost, are met by ECNP. The CDE travel subsidy is open to all participants resident of a European country with a developing economy. This subsidy supports travel expenses for the ECNP School.

Executive committee meeting

Executive Committee's winter meeting

December saw the annual Executive Committee meeting (14-15 December), this year in Madrid, Spain. The December meeting is traditionally devoted to longer-term issues, and the focus this year was ECNP’s strategic direction in light of ongoing shifts in the science and the changing economics of the field.

ECNP is well placed to deal with these changes, and the meeting mapped out the key priorities that will define the College’s scope of activities going forward. The outputs will be published in the ECNP annual report, to be published in the new year.
